Usage

/timeout <user> <reason> <duration> [file] [custom-duration]

<angle brackets> are required; [square brackets] are optional.

Moderate Members

Discord role hierarchy must also place Archivian above the target member.

Arguments

user user

Required

The member to time out.

reason string

Required

Why the member is being timed out. Maximum 512 characters.

duration integer

Required

A predefined timeout duration, or Custom Duration.

Choices:60 seconds5 minutes10 minutes1 hour1 day1 week28 daysCustom Duration

file attachment

Optional

Proof or supporting context for the case.

custom-duration string

Optional

Required when Custom Duration is selected; for example 1d12h.

Examples

Time out a member for one hour.

/timeout user:@Member reason:"Heated argument" duration:"1 hour"

Use a custom two-day duration.

/timeout user:@Member reason:"Repeated disruption" duration:"Custom Duration" custom-duration:2d
