Control Center

  1. Go to the Dashboard for a server.
  2. In the left-side navigation menu, find the Control Center category.

This feature mainly gives a centralized, aggregated view of all messages in a single feed, to make it easier for staff to moderate servers with a high frequency of messages. It’s especially helpful during events and stage sessions, where message activity can spike.

The view also includes other tools to help you do live moderation.

There are several widgets in this view. You can rearrange them in all sorts of ways — move, resize, close, and stack them in tabs — to customize the layout to your liking.

By default, all panels are shown and none are stacked in tabs. You can close panels you don’t need, and re-add them by dragging them back in from the widget list on the left.

There are currently five widgets available.

This is your main point of interest. Messages from all channels you can see — or just the ones you’ve configured — appear in a single view, and you can see which channel each message came from.

Right-click a message for more options specific to that message, that user, or the feed in general.

A live feed of things happening in the server. For example, you can see when a staff member bans someone, or when other cases are created.

With this utility you can create patterns on demand and have messages that match them appear in this panel. Pattern watchers work like custom Discord Auto-Mod rules (if you’ve ever used them), except their only action is to display matches in a list for you to review.

There are five types of patterns, all case-insensitive:

  • Regexp — use regular-expression syntax to match message content. This allows powerful patterns but may require some technical know-how. For example, the pattern <:\w+:\d+>$ matches any message that ends with a custom emote.
  • Includes — the message must include the provided word or phrase. The simplest and most versatile option.
  • Starts with — the message content must start with what you provided. Mostly useful for single words.
  • Ends with — the message content must end with what you provided. Mostly useful for single words.
  • Is exactly — the message must be exactly the word or phrase you provided. Mostly useful for matching exact words.

Whenever a message is sent or edited, it’s checked against these patterns. If it matches, the message appears at the bottom of the Pattern Watcher widget.

A single message may produce multiple matches if it’s edited — it may match the original message and then each subsequent edit. This is intentional, so that edits are also tracked and treated separately.

A simple panel that lets you define a user and a case to create on them.

This panel is inactive by default, since no member is selected. You can inspect a member by right-clicking a message and selecting Quick Inspect.

The panel then activates with the inspected user. Here you can see a feed of messages sent by that user across all channels, plus options to quickly time them out (or create any other case) and to delete their most recently sent messages.

In the future this widget will include more tools and information — let us know if you have requests.

The messages disappear when I load or reload the page

The Control Center, and the message feed in particular, is meant for live moderation rather than as a place to browse past messages. Messages only appear if the Control Center was already loaded when they were sent.

I loaded the page, messages are sent, but they don't appear in the feed

If you can see the channel the message appeared in, there are two likely reasons:

  • It’s a bug and you aren’t receiving live updates at all — please let us know.
  • You were given access to view the channel after you loaded the page. Reloading usually resolves this.
The panel arrangement resets every time I load

Right now, panel arrangements aren’t saved, so reloading resets them. Saving is coming soon, but it will only be stored in the current browser, not your account.

The Control Center doesn't look right on mobile or tablet

The Control Center isn’t designed for mobile or small screens. There isn’t really a good way to deliver this view well on small-screen devices.
