Auto-granting

Use as default

Usually staff join without a title, meaning they have little to no permissions. This setting makes a specific title automatically given to every new staff member who joins or is added.

Only one title can be the default, so enabling it on another title swaps which one is the default. You can turn defaults off entirely by disabling the current default.

Linked Discord role

This lets Archivian manage which Discord server role a staff member has based on their Archivian title. When a staff member is assigned the title, Archivian gives them the linked role; when they lose the title or get a different one, Archivian removes it and assigns any other linked role.

Adding, removing, or changing a linked role does nothing on its own — it only takes effect when a title is assigned to or removed from a staff member. In other words:

• Removing the linked role does not remove it from existing staff who have this title.
• Adding a linked role does not grant it to existing staff who already have this title.
