Content Sensitivity Filter
What it does
Section titled “What it does”By default, the sensitive content filter is set to “Do not filter”. When enabled — either for members without any roles or for everyone — Discord scans the image-based media sent in your server.
“Image-based” here means various types of images (GIF, JPG, PNG, etc.) and videos — not embeds like YouTube.
These attachments are checked against an auto-moderation system that tries to detect whether the media contains obscene imagery such as NSFW content or gore. It does this on a best-effort basis, with no guarantee: a lot of content is likely to still slip through, and there may be the occasional false positive, though those are rare.
When the filter detects blocked imagery, it simply prevents the content from being sent.
