Include or exclude a channel from tracking

Scenario: you want a per-channel exception to message tracking. You’re either tracking all messages but don’t want to for this channel, or the other way around.

Enable tracking for a channel

1. In the Message Created section, add a new rule.
2. Set What should the rule target? to Channel.
3. For Target Channel, search for the channel by name or ID and select it.
4. Under Tracking, leave the Inherit toggle unchecked.
5. Turn Tracking Enabled on.

You may also want to configure alerting if you like.

Disable tracking for a channel

1. In the Message Created section, add a new rule.
2. Set What should the rule target? to Channel.
3. For Target Channel, search for the channel by name or ID and select it.
4. Under Tracking, leave the Inherit toggle unchecked.
5. Turn Tracking Enabled off.

You don’t need to change any other settings in this rule as long as Tracking Enabled is off.
